William Zepeda vs Jaime Arboleda headline Golden Boy card In Arlington – Preview and Undercard

William Zepeda vs Jaime Arboleda

William Zepeda vs Jaime Arboleda will headline a Golden Boy card in Arlington, Tx this Saturday to be broadcast on DAZN

Undefeated lightweight William “El Camarón” Zepeda(27-0, 23kos) is set to face Jaime “Jaimito” Arboleda(19-2, 14kos) April 29th. Zepeda is making his return to the ring after beating the odds and putting on a dominant performance against former title-holder, Joseph “JoJo” Diaz in October of last year. Jaime Arboleda is on a 3 fight win streak since his last trip to America, which ended in a TKO loss against Chris Colbert.

Zepeda, fighting out of San Mateo Atenco, Mexico, is a workhorse-type southpaw with heavy hands and is well known for his high and steady output. He plans to remain undefeated on his quest to ascend the illustrious lightweight rankings.

Panamanian, Arboleda is an orthodox fighter with a left hook that anyone he faces should be wary of. The vast majority of his career has been fought in and around the Super Featherweight limit(130 lbs), aside from 2 fights in 2017 where he fought at, and just above, lightweight. Though he is moving up to return to 135 lbs for this bout, he does maintain a height and reach advantage over Zepeda.

Although the Marlen Esparza vs. Gabriela Alaniz fight has been scrapped, the card will feature Diego De La Hoya, Tristan Kalkreuth, and more.
