Naoya Inoue vs Junto Nakatani Breakdown

In a match-up that has been deemed the biggest Japanese fight of all time, P4P star Naoya Inoue faces fellow countryman, as well as fellow top 10 P4P fighter, Junto Nakatani. Fans and pundits have been drooling over the possibility of this fight taking place since the world knew both of these guys existed. These Japanese phenoms have been separated by weight class throughout the years, but it's only added to the froth at the mouth of those calling for this fight. Well, it's finally happening in Tokyo Dome, the perfect setting for an undisputed title fight between two of the best boxers Japan has ever seen.

Not much needs to be said of Naoya Inoue, as he's already proven to the world exactly who he is by facing the best of the best, time and time again. Even going so far as to have been undisputed in multiple divisions.

Junto Nakatani would be considered less proven than Inoue. A funny thing to say about a fighter who has already been a three-weight world champion that was unified in his last weight class. All the same, his blend of Japanese and American styles, flowing through his tall frame, is a sight to behold. That's to say nothing of the power he has shown throughout his career, which is a problem for anyone facing him, including "the Monster" himself.

There is almost no possibility of this fight not living up to the magnitude of the event. But it's not the only bout scheduled on the card. The supporting cast is full of other Japanese stars and upstarts, most of which assure entertainment just by their being there.

If there was ever a card worth waking up in the wee hours of the western hemisphere, this is absolutely it.
