Following her victory over VanZant, Britain Hart (2-2 1KO in BKFC) said, in an interview with BKFC’s Susan Cingari, that Paige VanZant hits harder than anybody she had ever fought

“She hits harder than anyone I’ve ever – ever fought before that’s for sure,” Hart said. “I’ve never been hit as hard as that girl so it was proof for me that I really have that dog in me”

In their main event bout, Hart and VanZant showed class and heart in a grueling five-round war but Hart proved that she was the better fighter, February 6th at “Knucklemania”

Hart’s patience, jab, slick footwork, and combinations seemed to have VanZant off-balanced for most of the fight and showed the professional boxing experience of the 31-year-old

When the fighters clinched, an area most would assume VanZant’s MMA experience would give her an advantage, Hart dominated the positions landing several combinations to the body and head from in close

VanZant had her moments as well, however, but seemed to load up on her punches and seemed unwilling to put together combinations until the fifth and final round – her best round

“It was a hard five rounds,” Hart said. “I think that we showed skills and poise but we also got in there and were tough and fought our way out of the clinch and we were dogs”

Hart’s comments regarding VanZant’s punching power were high praise. For context, Hart has been in there with the likes of Christine Ferea (3-1 3KO in BKFC) and former UFC contender Bec Rawlings (3-0 1KO in BKFC) who both defeated Hart
