Steven Nelson vs Diego Pacheco Tale of the Tape, Undercard, & Breakdown

This super middleweight showdown between two undefeated title hopefuls is a sleeper of a fight. Though it could do with more publicity, their bodies of work do a lot of talking for them both and is a good indicator of just how action-packed and interesting this match-up will likely be. Having records of 22-0 for Pacheco, and 20-0 for Nelson, neither have tasted defeat and both are on the precipice of title contention. In their most recent bouts, Pacheco knocked out Maciej Sulecki in the 6th round, while Nelson knocked out Marcos Vazquez Rodriguez in the 5th. Diego’s advantages are obvious, being height by 6” and reach by 3.5”, while Nelson’s are less readily visible, being the power advantage as well as the ring IQ and ability to adjust.

Both men have a lot to gain, and a lot to lose this weekend, and neither are lacking in motivation. Just how they stack up against each other remains to be seen, but it’s a relatively safe bet to say it will be fireworks.

Andy “Diamonte” Cruz’s fifth professional fight will also be featured, taking on the once defeated Omar “Super” Salcido, who is coming off of a ProBox win over Chris Colbert. Also on the card will be hard-hitting veteran, Jose “the Sniper” Pedraza, being challenged by up-and-comer Ernesto “Tito” Mercado.
