The PFL will return with their 4th show of 2021 featuring Claressa Shield's MMA debut, June 10th
Shields, boxing's first simultaneous two-division undisputed world champion, will face Brittany Elkin, (3-6 1KO) a purple belt in Brazilian jujitsu
Claressa Shields chases history - once again - with the goal of becoming the first fighter to ever simultaneously hold world championships in both MMA and Boxing as she competes for PFL's Lightweight (155lbs) Championship
When asked about her transition, Shields says she's taking it very seriously and made sure to note that she's been training all areas of the sport
"If any boxer wants to come to MMA and they think that they don't have to train any other arts, those boxers will always lose," She said. "I'm not one of those boxers. I've been at Jackson Wink for the past 7 months."
She also said that her kicking, jujitsu, and wrestling is "coming along well."
Elkins is also confident going into this bout
"I'm prepared to do ground, and stand-up, and offense, and defense," she said. "I'm pretty fucking excited."
The card also features two fighters who had breakout performances in PFL's 2021 debut, Brendan Loughnane (20-3 11KO) and Bubba Jenkins (15-4 6KO), as well as Former UFC champion Anthony Pettis
Loughnane, the only fighter to earn 6 points (first-round knockout) on that card will face Tyler Diamond (12-1 5KO) while Bubba Jenkins, who defeated last season's Featherweight Champion, faces Bobby Moffett (13-5 1 KO)
Should all things go well, it will be a treat to see Jenkins and Loughnane competing in the playoffs for this season's PFL Featherweight Championship.
The card will take place at 6 pm ET on ESPN Plus & ESPN 2
