Natasha Jonas vs Lauren Price Breakdown

World class women’s welterweight champion, Natasha Jonas, fresh from unifying her IBF belt with Habazin’s WBC strap, heads straight to yet another big challenge in her illustrious career. Lauren Price, IBO, WBA, and Ring Magazine world welterweight champion, is an Olympic gold medalist and has built a reputation for being quite formidable in the pro’s well, the world titles being a pretty good hint that it’s true. Assuming there is a winner, a safe assumption though not guaranteed, they will leave the ring having unified all but the WBO world title. Mikaela Mayer will be defending that strap in a rematch with Sandy Ryan later this month in Vegas. This would place all four of these world class women on roughly the same schedule, speculatively making a bout to become fully undisputed possible, even within the year. The top of women’s welterweight is looking very interesting at the moment and by the end of the month, the dust should be settled, and we can move forward with even more fun possible match-ups.

Caroline Dubois vs Bo Mi Re Shin Breakdown

The chief support will be lightweight champion “Sweet Caroline” Dubois defending her WBC belt against South Korean title hopeful Bo Mi Re Shin. I, and others, consider Dubois the scariest woman in boxing at the moment. I say that fondly and with respect of course as I both see that as a good thing in combat sports, and absolutely do not want to be on her bad side.

Natasha Jonas vs Lauren Price Undercard

The undercard serves as a great appetizer to the 2 main courses. Watson vs Zapotoczna is a good match-up on paper. Chapman returning from her loss to Skye Nicholson to take on the undefeated Artingstall will tell us exactly where both of them stand in their division. Cindy Ngamba making her debut brings a fresh face to the higher women’s divisions. And Hennessy has shown great promise so far, and will be in tough against the powerful Campos.

Overall, in my opinion, it’s a solid card by Boxxer, with the fact that it’s an all-woman affair being more of a fun detail than a selling point.
