According to multiple sources, #1 pound for pound female boxer Claressa Shields has signed a contract with MMA organization PFL
The two-time Olympic gold medalist holds a perfect 10-0 record in boxing with two knockouts and plans to take over the MMA world as well
In a 2018 interview, Shields recalled sparring with former UFC champion Cris Cyborg and claimed that she got the better of Cyborg before admitting that she took it easy on the Brazilian.
In a 2019 interview, Shields said that she would welcome the opportunity to switch over and said she knew she would need to learn grappling but cited her Olympic experience as proof that she is a quick learner.
