Bare Knuckle Fighting Championships (BKFC) made it’s Texas Debut at Dickey’s Arena in Fort Worth Texas. A stacked 13-fight card was just what the doctor ordered and the most exciting combat sport delivered.

Tony Soto def. Ben Bonner – via unanimous decision BKFC Interim Lightweight World Title
In the main event Tony Soto pushed the pace with a herky jerky style but ate a left hand that sent the former BKFC Lightweight Champion to the canvas. Bonner showed an obvious power advantage and parlayed it with very solid ring generalship and clinch control.
In the 3rd round, the momentum shifted heavily. Soto began landing combination and Bonner began showing obvious signs of taking the fight on short notice. Bonner got to a point where he could no longer hold his hands up but threw them when he could. It became a war of attrition and while Soto had more in the tank at the end of the fight, Bonner didn’t give any less effort in the end of the fight.
Andrei Arlovski def. Josh Copeland – via KO 4 Heavyweight
Copeland spent the early rounds feinting well and jumping in and out as much as possible. Arlovski, maintained a veteran’s composure and attempted to counter punch Copeland as he came in. When the two met, often they clinched, which Arlovski got the better of. In the 3rd round, Arlovski hurt with a right hand and Copeland returned to his corner bloodied from two cuts above his left eye. Arlovski maintained the momentum in the 4th round opening the cuts wider which led to Copeland not answering the call after the 4th round.
Jessica Eye def. Mariya Agapova – via unanimous decision – Women’s Flyweight
“Evil” Eye began the fight pushing the pace and working well in the clinch but Agapova scored on the outside with accurate jabs and left crosses. As the fight went along, Eye continued pressuring Agapova and simply outworked her in the clinch.
Kenzie Morrison def. Alex Davis via KO RD 1 – Heavyweight
Kenzie Morrison swarms Alex Davis with a barrage of jabs to earn the first-round TKO
JC ‘Corazon’ Deleon def. Ruben Warr – KO RD 3 – Lightweight
Anthony Garrett def Haze Wilson via KO RD 1- Heavyweight
Hometown fighter Anthony Garrett was knocked down early in the first round at the hands of a Haze Wilson uppercut. This didn’t deter the heavyweight one bit as he pulled himself off the mat, composed himself, and scored a knockdown of his own before stopping Wilson in the very first round.
Rodney Hinton def. Darren Whitney via unanimous decision – Welterweight
Fort Worth’s Whitney and Rodney Hinton started at a slow pace early in the round as the fighters caught each other’s timing. Hinton stalked Whitney before landing a right hand sending the home town fighter to the canvas. Unfortunately for him, he seemed to forget the rules of the sport and was deducted a point for punching his downed opponent. He was then knocked down himself at the very end of the first round.
Hinton seemingly dominated most of the next 4 rounds controlling the pace of the fight with a constant jab and smothering pressure.
Jake Heffernan def. Paco Castillo KO RD 1- Lightweight
Castillo and Heffernan maintained the pace set in the fight before. Heffernan initiated a single-collar tie clinch and began to feed Paco uppercuts. Paco continued to throw with reckless abandon but gassed out and was stopped in the first round.
Willie Gates def. Brandon Meneses by KO RD 1 – Bantamweight
Gates and Meneses started with a blistering pace. The two tangled up after Meneses seemed to wobble Gates but Gates bounced back right away landing 2 knockdowns and finishing the fight with a knock out.
