Jon Jones in negotiations with UFC for heavyweight debut, vacates light heavyweight title

Monday evening, light heavyweight superstar Jon Jones (26-1 10KO) tweeted that after speaking to the UFC, he decided to vacate the UFC light heavyweight title.

Shortly after, he tweeted that the UFC was unwilling to negotiate his salary, therefore he was unwilling to return but shortly after tweeted that he’d love to compete at heavyweight then, posted another tweet saying that he and the UFC began negotiations for him to do so

If negotiations are completed, Jones will likely earn an immediate title shot fighting the winner of heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic (20-3 15KO) and Francis Nngannou (15-3 11KO)
